Cape Symphony Presents: Pokey LaFarge

Sunday, August 30, 2026 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This event does not repeat

This is a rare and intimate evening with one of America’s most distinctive voices in roots music. Pokey LaFarge brings a series of exclusive solo performances to the East Coast this August, and Cape Cod is one of a select few stops. Join us for a special performance at the Hermann Theater at the Simon Center for the Arts—an intimate listening room designed for experiencing live music up close.

Presented in collaboration with MVY Radio and supported by The Cape Cod Foundation through the Falmouth Fund, this evening reflects a shared commitment to bringing meaningful, high-quality live music experiences to the region.

Known for his unmistakable blend of Americana, early jazz, ragtime, country blues, and rock and roll, Pokey’s music feels both timeless and completely alive. Drawing from the deep roots of American music while carving out a sound entirely his own, his performances balance vintage influence with a modern edge.

For these special solo shows, Pokey strips it all back to voice, guitar, and storytelling, offering a rare, up close reimagining of songs from his nine album catalog, alongside fresh interpretations of Gospel, Rock and Roll, and Country classics.

This is not a full band show. This is something rarer: An artist at the height of his craft, alone on stage, creating a direct and immersive connection with the audience in a setting designed for deep listening.
