Contemporary dance meets ocean science in an intimate Cape Cod performance with Boston Dance Theater and Danceport. Join Cape Symphony Presents for OCEAN / CURRENT, an intimate and immersive evening of contemporary dance inspired by the ocean, environmental change, and the powerful relationship between movement, sound, and ecology. Featuring excerpts from Boston Dance Theater’s SURGE project, developed in collaboration with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) ocean scientist Larry J. Pratt. Through bold and expressive movement, the work translates scientific concepts such as ocean systems, current, flow, and environmental change into a deeply human performance experience.

Presented in partnership with Boston Dance Theater + Danceport.

Pokey LaFarge brings a series of exclusive solo performances to the East Coast this August, with Cape Cod as one of a select few stops. Join us for a special performance at the Hermann Theater at the Simon Center for the Arts—an intimate listening room designed for experiencing live music up close.
